Facility Rep- Jason Giles
I grew up near Denver Center and during high school learned about Air Traffic Control by visiting here with a now retired controller. A few years later I finished the MARC school in Eden Prairie, Minneapolis and was picked up as an AG at Denver Center in September of 2002. I began day one here with 20 other individuals and a few of us are still hanging around.
I have worked in Area 1 for the last 22 years. I have been involved with NATCA since the beginning. During that time, I have been in numerous positions and workgroups to help not only Area 1 but the Center as a whole. I was an Area rep for a few years and also served as VP of our local for over 5 years.
When not busy with keeping up with presidential duties, I enjoy being with my family. My wife and I have 6 children aging from 6-21. There is usually a card or board game going on. We have small acreage where we have a wide variety of farm animals and plenty of outdoor work. I usually have some sort of project that Iām tinkering on.

Facility Vice President- Vanesa Hess
I have lived in Colorado for most of my life but grew up in Houston. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University. I am a 3rd generation controller and have spent my entire career in Area 3 (since 2008).
I love all things outdoors, and spend my free time with my family and dog running around. We live in Fort Collins, and are always hiking, camping, or biking.
I have been involved with NATCA my entire career. I began as the Legislative Rep and took over as Safety Rep for the facility. I decided I wanted to learn more about the other parts of NATCA, and was the Area 3 Rep for a short time before running for Vice President.

Facility Treasurer- Vince Wright
My wife and I are both from Colorado originally. I have 3 kiddos who are 19, 17, and 14. I got into ATC after being a corporate pilot for 8 years and came to ZDV in January of 2010. I have been in area 1 the entire time. I have held a variety of positions at ZDV, including OSHA Rep and Treasurer for the last 7 years.
Facility Secretary- Sara Ward
I have been at ZDV since 2012. I am originally from Long Island, NY, but have also resided in New Jersey, Indiana, Alaska, and Utah. I started flying at 16 years old and used to fly commercially as a charter pilot and flight instructor before being hired by the FAA.
