All about Area 6

Area 6 works a combination of low altitude and high altitude airspace and overlies many of the busiest ski country airports. Area 6 provides the initial sequencing for DEN arrivals from the northwest and works the north departure gate from D01. This Area also controls the airspace around the TRACONs at Casper and Cheyenne, both located in Wyoming.

I am a native Texan who spent the 1st 10 years of my career at Houston Center as an off the street hire. My wife and daughters (14 & 11) have always loved Colorado, so 2 years ago we decided to pack up and transfer to ZDV. I love all things outdoors that Colorado has to offer. I’m an avid runner, play golf, ski, hike, etc.

I think being a rep is a good way to give back to NATCA, which has always been there for me and helped out whenever I needed it. This term I would like to continue building our staffing numbers in the area and getting our trainees certified. I also think we have some supes that are willing to help out and work with us to better the area so I want to continue building those relationships.
