The Archie League Medal of Safety Award is presented annually by the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) to honor exceptional air traffic controller work. The award was created in 2004 and is named after the first U.S. air traffic controller, Archie League. It is awarded to an air traffic controller or a team of controllers who have worked together to help a pilot in distress. The Archie Award is presented the last night at CFS.

Activism & Training Expo

NATCA’s Biennial Activism and Training Expo (ATX) showcases a comprehensive range of NATCA’s Academy classes, other training courses, briefings from Union committees, and insights from NATCA Representatives. ATX provides an unparalleled opportunity for NATCA members, regardless of their experience level, to deepen their knowledge on critical work and safety-related topics that will enhance not only your personal growth but also the collective strength and activism of our Union.

NATCA in Washington

NiW allows members to learn about NATCA's legislative efforts, build relationships with Congress, and help advance legislation. NiW is the most impactful event our Union puts on. Every year, all 535 congressional offices meet with NATCAvists to champion our Union’s cause. You do need to be on annual leave or RDOs to attend this amazing event.

NATCA Convention

The convention brings together local delegates from across the United States to vote on and decide the direction of the Union. The event is a two-step process: (1) Registering for the convention, and (2) booking your hotel. The convention is held every two years and is an opportunity for NATCA brothers and sisters to come to vote on key issues and set the direction of our Union.
